The Iraq War has spawned a wave of antiwar activism. Because students are no longer being forced to fight, it might seem that those who voluntarily join the military would be the target of protests.
The opposite appears to be true at Vanderbilt. Students interviewed for this story say their classmates discuss the war with them, but don't chastise them for enlisting in ROTC. People around Vanderbilt are making a clear distinction between the fighters and the fight, between those setting the policy and those carrying out the policy.
