Fondation Claude Pichois awards students pursuing Baudelaire research at Vanderbilt
Three Vanderbilt University students have been recognized with funding to support their original research related to 19th-century French poet Charles Baudelaire. The grants, awarded annually by the Fondation Claude Pichois, are hosted and administered by the Fondation de France in partnership with Vanderbilt’s W.T. Bandy Center for Baudelaire and Modern French Studies, and have supported graduate and undergraduate students at Vanderbilt who conduct research on Baudelaire, Gérard de Nerval, or French literature of the 19th and 20th centuries.Read More

Vanderbilt golfers ace report card
Vanderbilt’s Wells Williams and Lynn Lim were recently named SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men’s and women’s golf, respectively, a rare sweep of the prestigious conference award honoring academic and athletic excellence. It is just the second year in the award’s history that the same school swept the golf awards outright.Read More
Congratulations to Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Science professor Jad Abumrad on earning a Peabody Award for his podcast, "Fela Kuti: Fear No Man," which tells the story of one of the 20th century’s most acclaimed musical geniuses. This project has strong Vanderbilt connections: History professor Moses Ochonu served as the podcast’s advisor, and much of the production and interviewing took place at the Vanderbilt University Libraries' Studio 608.
