After an enthusiastic reception to its first round of public programming, Vanderbilt University–New York City hosted a second series of events this fall, further demonstrating its commitment to building community and fostering connection in the city. The events, a continuation of the “Vanderbilt in the City: Conversations on America” series, brought faculty and thought leaders together for conversations that explored what it means to be an American today as the nation’s role in the world is shifting. For the first time, three Vanderbilt student films were accepted as official selections for the Academy Award–qualifying film festival. The final beam has been lifted! 🏗️ We’re one step closer to opening the new home of the Roberts Academy and Dyslexia Center at Vanderbilt University.
