Vanderbilt launches Innovation Catalyst Fund to propel translational research and innovation
 
The Innovation Catalyst Fund aims to boost translational research and innovation to bridge the gap between ideas and real-world solutions. This initiative seeks to support projects that are nearing commercial viability, fostering innovation across a wide range of academic disciplines. Faculty can register for a Q&A town hall on Sept. 18 before the proposal submission portal opens on Oct. 1.

The new Digital Lab combines three library departments—Digital Scholarship and Communications, the Digital Commons, and the Center for Digital Humanities—into one overarching unit, realizing efficiencies that advance the Heard Libraries’ goal of facilitating transdisciplinary research and teaching through cohesive services.

Echoes of art reverberate through the Curb Center’s latest exhibition
 
Reverberations will feature National Geographic photographer Stephen Alvarez’s photographs of petroglyphs and pictographs from Europe and North America dating back as far as 35,000 years. The photographs are placed in dialogue with paintings and sculptures by Dustin Mater, who is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. The exhibition will be on view from Sept. 13 to Dec. 1.

SEC schedule for men’s basketball released; season tickets now available for purchase
 
The Commodores will play nine home games and nine road games as part of the SEC slate, all leading up to the SEC Tournament. Vanderbilt opens the 2024 conference schedule with Alabama on Jan. 6 at home at Memorial Gymnasium. Discounted season tickets are available for faculty, staff and students.
