Jim Bradford, dean emeritus of Owen Graduate School of Management, has died
 
Jim Bradford, who served as dean of the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management from 2005 to 2013, died July 27. Bradford leaves a legacy of impact on the school, having spearheaded the development and launch of several programs.

University hosting national Dense Urban Terrain Exercise with U.S. Army, Metro Nashville Davidson County Aug. 9–10
 
The training exercises are designed to assess response readiness to a critical incident in a dense urban environment. University and medical center employees and guests should expect to see a large number of uniformed military personnel and Metro Nashville first responders in the area of 25th Avenue and Children’s Way during the two-day exercise.

Dore Jam fan event set for Aug. 19
 
Vanderbilt Athletics announced that the 2023 Dore Jam will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 19. A celebration of Commodore athletics, representatives from all available sport programs will be in attendance to meet and greet fans. The event will also include games and activities, music and a chance to win prizes.
