Vanderbilt to participate in SEC Emerging Scholars Program |
|
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs C. Cybele Raver has joined her peers at institutions within the Southeastern Conference to establish the SEC Emerging Scholars Program for doctoral and postdoctoral students. The program serves as a pathway and source of mentorship for historically underrepresented graduate students across the SEC to prepare for tenured faculty positions in higher education.

George to lead environmental health and safety within expanded Office of Health and Wellness |

Andrea George has been promoted to assistant vice chancellor for environmental health and safety for Vanderbilt University and will oversee all chemical safety, biological safety, radiation safety and hazardous waste in the university’s research enterprise. George will continue to direct the laser safety program in collaboration with the Laser Safety Committee.
