Fall Undergraduate Research Fair showcases student work, celebrates discovery
 
The Office of Experiential Learning and Immersion Vanderbilt hosted the ninth annual Vanderbilt Undergraduate Research Fair on Sept. 8 at the Student Life Center. This fall’s fair was the best attended to date, with more than 700 guests and 160 students showcasing their work.

Vanderbilt’s annual Student Service Fair will be Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Alumni Lawn. The event will bring more than 35 community partners, organizations and agencies with a variety of missions to Vanderbilt to interact with students who want to get involved in the Nashville community.

Recent policies and legislation across the U.S. have made the reading and teaching of banned books even more difficult in K–12 classrooms and libraries. To help the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities navigate these changes, several offices across Vanderbilt have collaborated on a Banned Books Initiative featuring a series of events offered throughout the academic year.

Campus drone flyover scheduled for tomorrow
 
Geo-Jobe, on behalf of the Vanderbilt University Facilities department, will fly a fixed-wing drone over campus on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Facilities department schedules a drone flyover twice a year to capture aerial footage and images of the tree canopy around campus.

Celebrate Latin American/Hispanic Heritage Month with events September–October
 
Latin American/Hispanic Heritage Month, recognized annually from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, honors the history, cultural diversity and unique contributions of individuals and communities whose ancestry can be traced to Spain, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff will celebrate the month with a series of programs and events.

New license plate? Update parking registration now to avoid citation
 
Tennessee has been issuing new license plates throughout 2022. If you are enrolled in the daily parking program or have an annual parking permit, you must update your vehicle’s registration information whenever you receive a new license plate number.
