President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton convene student leaders to drive action at 2023 CGI University meeting at Vanderbilt March 3–5
 
Today President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton and Clinton Foundation Vice Chair Chelsea Clinton announced more participants and programming for the Clinton Global Initiative University 2023 annual meeting, scheduled for March 3–5 at Vanderbilt University. CGI U’s 15th annual meeting’s theme is “Homecoming: Strengthening Community, Leadership and Action.”

Next Faculty Senate meeting is March 2
 
All Vanderbilt faculty are invited to attend the next Faculty Senate meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 2, from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. Voting members (elected senators and deans) are expected to attend in person on the second floor of the Faculty Commons Building.

VU, VUMC work together to prepare grant proposals for NIH S10 programs
 
Over the past five years, Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center have collectively received more than $15 million to purchase cutting-edge instruments through National Institutes of Health S10 programs that support path-breaking research and innovation for hundreds of Vanderbilt researchers. Pre-proposals for these NIH programs are currently being accepted.

Vanderbilt and Fisk partner again to offer new postdoctoral fellowships
 
The Graduate School and Office of Postdoctoral Affairs has partnered with Fisk University to create a groundbreaking new postdoctoral fellowship program that will help recent Vanderbilt Ph.D. graduates build their teaching and scholarship portfolios, receive mentoring from faculty at both institutions, and allow time for publishing from their dissertation or preparing other research papers.

Form 1095-C available March 3 online at My VU Benefits
 
Form 1095-C is a tax form required by the Affordable Care Act. The ACA requires large employers, such as Vanderbilt, with 50 or more full-time employees to offer health insurance to their workers. Form 1095-C allows the Internal Revenue Service to confirm Vanderbilt’s compliance with the coverage and affordability provisions of the ACA and assists Vanderbilt employees in preparing to file their 2022 tax returns.

Nominations open for annual postdoc awards
 
Each spring the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Association recognize postdocs and their mentors who demonstrate excellence in research, service, mentorship and a commitment to the postdoc community. The deadline to submit nominations for this year’s awards is Feb. 27.

The center has collaborated with numerous campus partners to organize events around the theme “Women Who Tell Our Stories,” which aims to celebrate the struggles and achievements of all women from every background.
