University updates COVID-19 protocols following CDC guidance; vaccine required for Vanderbilt University-employed faculty and staff
 
Following revised CDC recommendations indicating that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks or physically distance, the university is modifying many of its COVID-19 protocols. Additionally, all Vanderbilt University-employed faculty, staff and postdoctoral fellows are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021–22 academic year.

Postdoctoral fellows, commonly known as postdocs, are professionals who have earned doctoral degrees and are, in most cases, temporarily pursuing additional scholarly training, experience and research progress necessary for a wide range of career paths.

Submit biweekly time cards, report holiday time in advance of holiday weekend
 
Biweekly employees and student workers are strongly encouraged to submit their time cards, and their managers are encouraged to approve those time cards, as soon as work is completed and prior to departure for the upcoming holiday weekend, unless the employee will be working over the weekend.
