Nominations open for fall 2021 faculty awards recognizing research, service
 
Nominations are now open for Vanderbilt’s top faculty awards, which recognize outstanding achievements in research and service to the university and demonstrate Vanderbilt’s appreciation for and commitment to excellence. All faculty are eligible to submit nominations for the four awards to be presented at the 2021 Fall Faculty Assembly.

As part of Vanderbilt’s continued commitment to enhance students’ mental health and well-being, all undergraduate, graduate and professional students are invited to participate in the Healthy Minds Study, a web-based survey designed to assess students’ mental health status, health behaviors and use of health services.

The Vanderbilt student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineering placed third overall and won top awards in eight additional categories at the 2021 Southeast Student Conference March 25–27. Vanderbilt also co-hosted the virtual event.

Actor, comedian and producer Aubrey Plaza; actor, producer and human rights advocate Laverne Cox; and engineer, comedian, author and inventor Bill Nye will be the featured speakers at Vanderbilt University’s 2021 Impact Symposium. This year’s event, which will be entirely virtual, is scheduled for consecutive Tuesdays beginning March 30.
