Vanderbilt has established a new Sustainability Advisory Council to guide and support the university’s progress toward its comprehensive long-term sustainability strategy. The council will include students, staff and faculty selected by Interim Chancellor and Provost Susan R. Wente and Vice Chancellor for Administration Eric Kopstain.

Vanderbilt University Public Safety will conduct a test of the AlertVU emergency notification system on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. AlertVU rapidly sends notification messages in the event of an imminent threat or danger to the Vanderbilt community.

Employee Appreciation will host “A Night of Music: Moonrise and Aurora” on Thursday, March 12, at the Blair School of Music’s Ingram Hall. Vanderbilt University employees and their families are invited to attend a pre-concert reception at 7 p.m. followed by the performance at 8 p.m. by the Vanderbilt University Orchestra and the Vanderbilt University Singers.
