Former student-athlete and longtime Commodore to lead Vanderbilt Athletics as first female athletic director
 
In a landmark moment, Vanderbilt University Interim Chancellor and Provost Susan R. Wente announced Tuesday that Candice Storey Lee, a former standout student-athlete and three-time graduate of the university, has been named interim vice chancellor for athletics and university affairs and interim athletic director, effective immediately.

Vanderbilt University staff and faculty are encouraged to participate in a pair of surveys launching in February. Staff members are invited to complete the 2020 Staff Engagement Survey Feb. 5–21. Faculty will participate in the national COACHE Faculty Job Satisfaction Survey beginning the week of Feb. 10. The goal of both surveys is to create a stronger workplace.

New hub encourages sustainable commute options
 
The Transportation and Mobility Office has launched the MoveVU Commute Hub as a one-stop commuter information resource for the Vanderbilt community. The Commute Hub, which includes a new app and website that tracks users’ commuting behavior, allows Vanderbilt staff, faculty and students to better understand their commute options beyond driving alone.
