A team led by Vanderbilt research scientist Peter Volgyesi will compete in the live championship round of the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge at the Mobile World Congress in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The first, second and third place winners will walk away with $2 million, $1 million, and $750,000 in prizes, respectively.

Vanderbilt University Public Safety will conduct tests of the Vanderbilt outdoor warning notification system on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25. The tests will include an audible message followed by a steady tone, which might occur a few times each day.
