Fourteen exemplary faculty members from across the university have been named to the Center for Teaching’s Junior Faculty Teaching Fellows program. The 2019-20 cohort comprises faculty from the College of Arts and Science, School of Engineering, School of Nursing and Vanderbilt Law School.

Brief outage of internet access for VU on July 18
 
On Thursday, July 18, between 4 and 6:30 a.m., VUIT will replace some network equipment in the Hill and Bryan data centers. During this replacement, VU will experience a brief outage of internet service.

Free electric scooter safety class set for July 20
 
The event hosted by Vanderbilt University Public Safety will provide an overview of the electric scooter program in Nashville and on the VU campus, information on how to safely and responsibly ride and park scooters, and how to report accidents and issues. The vendor Spin will provide unlocked scooters and helmets for the July 20 class.

Office 365 email migration is underway
 
Vanderbilt University Information Technology is enhancing email features and services by migrating Outlook/Exchange email to Microsoft Office 365 in the cloud.

Log in to Skype with your primary email address
 
Earlier this summer, all VU Microsoft Office 365 login credentials were changed from users’ VUnetID@vanderbilt.edu to users’ primary email addresses (usually firstname.lastname@vanderbilt.edu). Last week, VUIT successfully aligned 1,603 Skype account logins from users’ secondary email addresses to their primary email addresses.
