1.   Vanderbilt outlasts Mississippi State, takes on Louisville today at College World Series
    Vanderbilt senior Stephen Scott crushed two home runs and right-handed freshman pitcher Kumar Rocker was elusive as Vanderbilt notched a 6-3 win against Mississippi State on Wednesday at the College World Series. 3.   Vanderbilt, Nashville Fire Department team up for unique training opportunity at university’s Carmichael Towers
    More than 800 Nashville firefighters from across Davidson County will participate in a unique training opportunity on the Vanderbilt campus June 18-29, when they conduct high-rise fire response drills in the university’s Carmichael West Tower 4 residence hall, slated for demolition later this summer.     Vanderbilt guard Darius Garland was selected fifth overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA draft Thursday night, becoming the eighth first-round selection and the second-highest pick in Commodore basketball history. [ Read More ]

    Vanderbilt will be recognized for its sustainable building efforts on Tuesday, June 25, when the U.S. Green Building Council presents the university with a plaque designating the Engineering and Science Building and Eskind Biomedical Library with LEED Gold status.
