For the fourth time in nine seasons, Vanderbilt is headed to the College World Series. The Commodores hit five home runs en route to a 13-2 win against Duke in game three of the NCAA Nashville Super Regional on Sunday afternoon at Hawkins Field.

Office of Faculty Affairs appoints new director of faculty development
 
Jermaine Soto has been named director of faculty development in the Office of Faculty Affairs, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Tracey George has announced. Soto also will work closely with the Office of Inclusive Excellence and the Office of Research to support their faculty development programs.

Save the date: Employee Appreciation Day at Dyer Observatory June 21
 
Employee Appreciation is partnering with the Division of Government and Community Relations to host a free event at Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory for university employees and their families. Scheduled during the Summer Solstice on Friday, June 21, from noon to 4 p.m., the event will feature activities focused on science, technology, engineering, math and astronomy.
