VU community invited to Chancellor Search community update Wednesday
 
Board of Trust Chairman Bruce R. Evans and John Geer, dean of the College of Arts and Science and chair of the Chancellor Search Advisory Committee, will host a Vanderbilt community update on Wednesday, June 5, in Featheringill Hall to gather input and share information about the priorities and process guiding the search for Vanderbilt’s next leader.

Bartels elected to American Philosophical Society
 
Larry Bartels, May Werthan Shayne Chair of Public Policy and Social Science and co-director of Vanderbilt’s Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions, has been elected as a member of the American Philosophical Society, the oldest learned society in the United States.

Vanderbilt smashes into Super Regionals
 
Vanderbilt smacked four home runs en route to capturing the NCAA Nashville Regional with a 12-1 victory over Indiana State on Sunday night at Hawkins Field. The Commodores will advance to play Duke in the NCAA Super Regionals next weekend in Nashville.

Researchers by day, rockers by night, biofunkiest engineers hit the airwaves
 
The Vanderbilt Initiative of Biofunky Engineers, or VIBE, began performing together in 2017 and have played a handful of gigs, including the biomedical engineering department’s holiday party. Last week they took to the airwaves of Radio Free Nashville.

Vanderbilt’s Office of LGBTQI Life invites the Vanderbilt community to walk in the 2019 Nashville Pride Parade on Saturday, June 22, beginning at 10 a.m. at Broadway and 8th Avenue in downtown Nashville. The first 25 people to join the group will receive a Vanderbilt PRIDE t-shirt.

Microsoft Office 365 sign-in enhancements coming in June
 
Over the next several months, VUIT will migrate all Outlook/Exchange mailboxes of VU faculty, staff and most graduate students from on-campus servers to Microsoft Outlook Office 365 in the cloud. To prepare for the Outlook/Exchange mailbox migration to Office 365, VUIT will be updating the way users sign in to Office 365 applications.
