The Office of the Provost will host a pair of events in March aimed at raising awareness of and sharing information about two major initiatives of the Academic Strategic Plan.


 
 

Join provost for Open Dore On Location at Robert Penn Warren Center Thursday

The next Open Dore On Location, informal discussion sessions with Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan R. Wente, will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Robert Penn Warren Center. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.

The Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is offering funding to support pilot research or developmental projects on equity, diversity and inclusion.

AlertVU test scheduled for Thursday

Vanderbilt will conduct a test of its AlertVU emergency notification system on Thursday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. AlertVU sends emergency messages in the event of an imminent threat or danger to the larger Vanderbilt community.


 
 

Inaugural Discovery Science Emerging Scholars Lecture is Thursday

Rene Raphemot, who earned his Ph.D. at Vanderbilt in 2014 and is now a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University, will give the inaugural Discovery Science Emerging Scholars Lecture on Thursday, March 16.
