School of Nursing recognizes faculty, staff, colleagues and honorary nurses

Two longtime friends of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing were named honorary VUSN nurses, a leading researcher was recognized for service to faculty and students, and outstanding faculty and staff members received awards during the School of Nursing’s spring Faculty/Staff Assembly May 17.


 
 

New co-directors of Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Learning named

Shannon Cole, instructor of nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, and Dr. Melissa Hilmes, assistant professor of radiology and radiological sciences at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, have been named co-directors of the Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Learning.

This year’s Vanderbilt Family Night with the Nashville Symphony is planned for Thursday, June 7, at the Musicians Corner in Centennial Park. The Musicians Corner was established in 2010 and focuses on engaging the community, promoting arts education and supporting local artists.

SafeVU is getting an upgrade; new app available July 1

The existing SafeVU app will expire on June 30. The new-and-improved app will be available on July 1 and will require existing SafeVU users to delete the old app and download the new one.

The C.A.R.E. (Civility, Appreciation and Respectful Environments) Committee is seeking stories from faculty and staff about instances when they’ve witnessed or received an expression of kindness involving a co-worker at Vanderbilt.


 
 

Summer a great time to update Vanderbilt card

University employees with older Vanderbilt ID cards should take advantage of the summer months—when the Commodore Card Office sees significantly less traffic from students—to get their cards updated.
