The University Staff Advisory Council announced its 2018-19 officers and executive committee chairs. USAC is an advisory group to the university’s administration on issues that are important to staff such as policies, benefits and practices.


Vanderbilt professors to advise Facebook data research initiative

Social Science One will study the impact of Facebook on democracy around the world. Vanderbilt political science professors Elizabeth Zechmeister and Noam Lupu will serve on the regional advisory committee focusing on research involving Latin America.

Dore Jam set for Aug. 4

Vanderbilt Athletics’ annual fan day activity, Dore Jam, is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility, offering fans an opportunity to meet their favorite Commodore student-athletes, get autographs, listen to live music and participate in an array of family-friendly activities.


Submit nominations for Chancellor’s Heart and Soul staff awards

Nominations are open for the Chancellor’s Heart and Soul Staff Appreciation Awards, which recognize everyday dedication and contributions. The deadline is July 31.
