MLK Commemorative Series kickoff set for Friday; April Ryan tickets now available |

Vanderbilt will host its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Series Jan. 18-21, providing numerous lectures, service learning opportunities and events for the university community. Political reporter April Ryan will deliver this year’s keynote address Jan. 21 in Langford Auditorium, and free tickets to the event are now available for Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff.

Service Award Ceremony is Jan. 29 |

The annual Service Award Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Student Life Center. Vanderbilt University staff celebrating 20 years of service in 2018 will be honored, and the prestigious Commodore Award and Diversity Leadership Award will be presented.

Summer Academy at Vanderbilt for the Young, a program through Vanderbilt Programs for Talented Youth, offers weekly summer courses for qualifying gifted students in rising first through sixth grades. Career Connections, a day program within SAVY, offers accelerated courses for rising seventh-graders during the month of July.
