Service Award Ceremony rescheduled for Feb. 20 |
|
The annual Service Award Ceremony has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Student Life Center. The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 29 but postponed due to a forecast of inclement weather. Vanderbilt University staff celebrating 20 years of service in 2018 will be honored, and the prestigious Commodore Award and Diversity Leadership Award will be presented.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will host a discussion of Angie Thomas’ “The Hate U Give” on Thursday, Jan. 31, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Great Room of E. Bronson Ingram College, ahead of the author’s Feb. 13 visit to Vanderbilt. Vice Chancellor of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer James Page Jr. and Vanderbilt NAACP President Sydney Banks will co-facilitate Thursday’s discussion of the book.
